A.F.C Fylde Stadium Case Study
A.F.C Fylde, known as the football team of the Fylde coast, had four of BLE Lighting & Power’s STI-LED-400 Mini Inverters installed at their stadium to power the floodlights allowing fans to exit safely in the event of an emergency.
The National League Football Club, which was formed in 1988, is the only club at present to have won both the FA Trophy and the FA Vase. A rising club, who’s previous ground seated just 3000 spectators, opened a new stadium in 2016 with a 6000 capacity. Towering at each corner on masts, and lighting the new stadium are four LED floodlights.
The club required an emergency system to enable the floodlights on the masts to operate at full power in the event of an emergency. A low-profile unit was essential so that the ‘windage’ of the mast remained the same.

We fitted the stadium with STI-LED-400 Mini Inverters at the base of each floodlight. The STI-LED-400 allows any mains fitting up to 400W to operate at full power in the event of an emergency. The discreet units were easily mounted at the foot of the mast so as not to affect ‘windage’ and allow for easier maintenance.
